Answer:  Pin type insulators are generally not used for voltage exceeding 33 KV because above that the size of pin insulator become very large and weight also very high. That is why pin type insulator are used only upto 33 KV.

Answer:  Pin Insulator is earliest developed overhead insulator, but still popularly used in power network up to 33 KV system. Pin type insulator can be one part, two parts or three parts type, depending upon application voltage.
